Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are the agreement between you and Deep Made Simple (deepmadesimple.com, "we", "us") for using the site and Deep Made Simple Members (deepmadesimple.com/member). By using the site or buying a plan, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy at deepmadesimple.com/privacy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What Deep Made Simple Members is

Deep Made Simple Members gives you Bible studies in video, notes and downloads, plus a request board where members ask for the studies they want next. We add and change studies over time. The studies are for learning and personal growth. They are not professional, medical, legal or financial advice.

Your account

• You need to be at least 13 to use the site. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms, set up the plan and pay for it.
• You may sign in with Google or with your email address. Keep your sign-in to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• Give us a real email address and keep it current, so your access and receipts reach you.
• Contact us if you think someone else is using your account.

Plans and billing

• Plans. We offer two monthly plans: Family at $9 a month and Partner at $29 a month, in U.S. dollars. What each plan includes is shown on the plan page when you buy.
• Payment. Payments are taken by Stripe, our payment processor. By buying a plan, you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method for the plan you chose.
• Renewal. Your plan is a monthly subscription. It renews automatically each month, on the same date you joined, and your payment method is charged the plan price at each renewal, until you cancel or change it under "Manage your plan" in your account.
• Changes to your plan. You can change your plan at any time under "Manage your plan" in your account. A change takes effect as shown on that page.
• Taxes. Prices may not include sales tax or similar taxes. Where tax applies, it is added at checkout.
• Failed payments. If a payment does not go through, we may try again, and we may pause access until the payment is made.
• Price changes. We may change plan prices. We will email you at least 30 days before a new price applies to your plan. The new price applies from your next renewal after that date.

7-day money-back guarantee and cancelling

• Try it for 7 days. If it isn't for you, contact us within 7 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full.
• Cancel anytime from "Manage your plan". You keep access until the end of the month you paid for.
• Secure checkout with Stripe.

The guarantee covers the first payment of your first plan. Other payments are not refunded, except where the law requires it.

Using the content

• Everything on the site, including videos, notes, scripts, artwork, downloads and the site's design, belongs to Deep Made Simple or to those who license it to us, and is protected by copyright and other laws.
• With an active plan, you may watch, read and download the studies for your own personal use and for use in your home, your small group, your Bible class or your church, as long as you do not charge for it.
• You may not sell, resell, re-upload, publish or share the members content on other websites, apps or social media, share your account or downloads with people outside your household, or remove our name or notices from the content.
• Bible quotations remain under the terms of the translation they come from.

The request board

• You keep ownership of what you post: your requests, explanations and comments.
• By posting, you give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive license to show, store, copy and use what you post to run the board and to plan and make studies. If a study is made from your request, you are not owed payment or credit.
• What you post can be seen by anyone who visits the board.
• Be kind. Do not post anything that is hateful, harassing, threatening, sexual, false, unlawful, or that attacks a person, a church or a faith tradition. Do not post spam, ads, links to harmful sites, or anyone's private information.
• We may edit, hide or remove any post, and we may limit or remove access for anyone who breaks these rules.

What you agree not to do

You agree not to:

• break the law or anyone's rights while using the site,
• try to get into accounts, areas or systems you have no access to,
• copy the site or its content in bulk, by scraping, bots or any automated means,
• interfere with the site's working or security, or upload anything harmful,
• pretend to be someone else, or
• use the site to send unwanted messages.

Suspending or ending access

We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if your payment fails and is not made up, or if we must do so by law. If we end access to the service as a whole, we will tell members by email first.

Feedback

If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them freely and owe you nothing for them.

Other sites and services

The site links to and uses other services, such as YouTube, Google and Stripe. Their own terms apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for them.

Disclaimers

The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises that the site will always be available, error-free or secure, or that any study will meet your needs. We work to be accurate, but we do not promise that every statement in every study is complete or free of error. Some laws do not allow these disclaimers, so some of them may not apply to you.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Deep Made Simple is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability to you for any claim about the site or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50, whichever is more. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

Your responsibility

If your use of the site, or what you post, breaks these Terms or the law and leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs from that claim, to the extent the law allows.

Disputes

If you have a problem, contact us first, and we will try to settle it with you within 30 days. If we cannot, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Either of us may bring a claim in small claims court where it qualifies. If you live outside the United States, you keep any rights your local consumer law gives you that cannot be waived.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we change the date at the top. If a change matters to your plan or your rights, we will email members at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using the site after that, the new Terms apply.

General

• If any part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
• If we do not enforce a part of these Terms right away, we can still enforce it later.
• You may not transfer your account or these Terms to someone else. We may transfer them as part of a sale or transfer of the site.
• These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the site.
